Here is a shot of Oak Street Beach taken from the 94th floor of the John Hancock Center. Taken the day of the Chicago Air and Water show, you would think the wait to get up there would be incredibly long, but the wait was only 10-15 minutes.

Since the wait time was miraculously short, Mike from MikesRightBrain joined me in half an hour so we could get some great shots of the show, as well as our tele-wide beach shots.

I patiently waited for a large cloud to completely cover the beach so to get a shadowless surreal capture...

to me, sitting in a pile of people like that - just does not seem like a good time.

I agree with tam, but looking down from the observatory of the JH is a great time! How cool is this? VERY, I would say.

That amount of people was nothing! lol North Ave Beach was 10 x worse and I happened to be part of that crowd..

This is an awesome "Waldo" shot - very intriguing!

Over here it is Wally not Waldo. A good picture for people watching. I like it.

It was certainly a blast, Archie! I finally got around to posting mine. The volleyball game in the lower left is the most fascinating part... great shot!
