Title: They Left the Lights On

I've walked past this space for the last 3 months and have been meaning to photograph it. I pass it by on my way to the train station from work and I'm usually in a hurry so I just raincheck the oppurtunity, finally I took a moment to photograph it. It's an empty retail store across from the Merchandise Mart on Wells. The lights have never been turned off for some reason, inside there is a note next to the switches to leave the lights on. Seems kinda a waste since its been like that for months. I wonder why...

Wonderful monochromatic loneliness. I feel cold just looking at it, yet it is compelling. Great title, too. Nice shot.

You've done a fabulous job of capturing the starkness of the space.
