hrm....to my eye, these look really flat....I brought one up in PS. Do you like how it looks when you let the white background blow out? One thing you can do in curves is drag the black point forward, and watch as the subjects darken, until there is just a slight highlight left. You can then use that point as a reference when you do a curves adjustment to make sure you don't blow out the subject (in this case, the highlight was the red channel on her cheek). Of course when you adjust the brightness so that that point ends up at 255 in the red, the white background will be way clipped.

anyways - i prefer 1/2.. kinda reminds me of AVP. this one just shows.. that girls can kick your ass and that you have a perfect bite. *shrugs* yes. i read into photos THAT much.
