Title: Dreaming of Being Awake

Capture Date/Time: April 24 2005 14:30
Camera: Nikon D100
Lens: 50mm f/1.4D AF Nikkor
Focal Length: 50mm
Aperture/Shutter Speed: F/9 - 1/250 sec
ISO: 200
Flash: None

I was walking around Navy Pier on Sunday and saw these 2 girls completely crashed out on a bench in the upstairs greenhouse park area with the palm trees. I just found it funny to see a non-homeless sleeping in public, which is something I always find myself taking photos of. So of course I had to take this shot, their friend who was awake reading next to them thought it was rather odd that I would take a photo of them, but could understand why I found it to be amusing.

Nice shot, Archie. I'm a big fan.

Did you have to wake her up to get a model release?

Keep shooting.

Great catch, Archie! I don't think I've ever seen someone sleeping so hard on such an uncomfortable looking surface - then again, when sleep falls hard, the location really doesn't matter.

This photo is great Archie! It really captures life (the non-action aspect of it).
