where is this? that looks like the tropics, aside from the foliage. how far from Chicago is this place?

that sure looks superior! that color, i thought i had to be the mediterranean - on the west coasts of italy and croatia there's similar views. i always imagined the great lakes of the US as big grey bodies of water with nothing but cornfields around... i see that's a misconception. (or did you use the "fill" tool of photoshop in order to make the grey water look blue?)

I'm from Europe, i've only seen Lake Ontario so far (rather dirty), but this is a different story. a.w.e.s.o.m.e! Can't believe it :) Great job, man!

I didn't know those waters could be that beautiful. My mother grew up in this region and could never explain the beauty precisely. Now if only it was so frickin cold.

Definitely a postcard picture! I also made it my desktop wall paper - I wish I were there.

What a fantastic picture Archie! I have explored the north side of Lake Superior, in Ontario, Canada and the scenery is very similar. The water is cold and clear and gorgeous. Thanks for the instant reminder! Cheers from Graham in Toronto...
