Last week I had seen on the news about a really bad car crash that happened in Skokie which was found to be a woman's suicide attempt by ramming her car into another car stopped at an intersection at 70mph. It killed the 3 people in that car, yet she survived the accident which makes me believe that there is no justice on this earth. The 3 that died were all members of different Chicago Local Bands. Doug Meis was the drummer of the Dials, whom I had the chance to see perform last November at the High Voltage Software wrap up party. Although I did not know him personally, I felt a need to pay my respects to him by posting a photo I took of him during his peformance last year.

Sorry to hear this. Really, if someone wants to leave this world, there are better ways than to take others with you. Too bad that crazy woman didn't succeed with herself. It looks like this guy Doug was enjoying himself the night you snapped this pic.

wow. irony. my friend who's the singer for karma with a k just told me about that today. i think he knew the three people as well. a woman like that deserves a lifetime of hate now and hell afterwards. it's so evil and aggrivating that it induces sickness in my stomach.

One of the victims, Michael Dahlquitst, was in the band Silkworm, who I'd been a fan of several years ago. Your shot is a nice tribute - this was such an awful turn of fate. By all accounts, three really great guys.
