Title: Warm Thoughts

Focal Length: 200mm

I decided to pull this one from the archives as I'm thinking about how much I'm looking forward to the return of warmer weather. I'm sure many of you will think I just pulled a screen shot from the Sims, but I assure you that people really do look like this if you shoot them from high enough!

I love these shots, Archie. This one just goes on and on forever, and that's really cool. As one guy said, the people look like little candies and you kind of just want to eat 'em!

I wonder if there's a story behind each grouping of people who came to the beach that day. I could almost entertain myself and make up one. It's a very nice photo, and people really do look that small. Almost like ants. Bright, colorful ants. With umbrella's.

Yes warm weather... How do you get your shots. I mean they are most often from high above. Are you very very tall, or can you fly? NIce shot.

Chicago has a nice array of places to get up high to take photos. This one was taken from the observatory at the John Hancock Building. Thanks to everyone for the comments so far!

Terrific photo! It's like a Where's Waldo (and I mean that in the best possible way) in that there's sooo much to look at, so many interesting details. I love the guy in the row boat and how you got that to stand out. At first I thought it was in the air above the scene. A neat optical illusion.

I think what almost gives it that "Sims" feeling is how orderly everyone appears. They look so organized!

If I recall correctly, weren't you in that alley too? :)

Wow! Amazing shot - fabulous composition. I was going to make a Where's Waldo comment, but seems someone already beat me to it. Boy do I look foward to no more snow!!

Wow...what a yummy picture! Is the person in the rowboat another lifeguard?
