Had a fun outing in Gary, Indiana with John Schroeder, Mark Wisniowski, Mike Chu and Vince Gnoffo. First stop was the abandoned Gary Screw and Bolt Co, which now houses mountains of clothing that were supposed to be donated. Apparently that fell through the roof (which might be why there are holes in it, heh) and these clothes have been sitting here for years!

Mike Chu is in the second photo, who was nice enough to take a photo of me (bottom one) while I stood there and contemplated how fast I can run away on these mountains of clothes with his Nikon D3 which I was holding for him :)

A friend forward a link -- glad he did. These are awesome. I love seeing pictures of these kind of abandoned environments. how do you find them?

hahaha, I don't blame you for contemplating running away with that camera. He's a lucky man to own one. I am curious, though... that place looks like it must reek, especially since those clothes look damp and have been there for years. Was the smell bad or what? I guess it wasn't all that bad for you to hang around taking pictures, and you seem to be enjoying yourselves.
